Olivia, is a full-time student at Temple University, who is working towards her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Community Engagement with a concentration in Childhood Mental Health at Temple's College of Education. In her early years as an education major, Olivia fully immersed herself in its field. As a Freshman she worked as a volunteer Corps Member for Jumpstart, assisting in the literary and language improvement of low-income preschool children, as a weekly reading tutor. During her Sophomore year, she interned as a research assistant at the Temple University Infant & Child Lab (TICL) located at Ambler. Here she was able to get hands-on experience to hone in on the specialized skills and knowledge based in her field, as well as become attuned to the assessments, developmental studies and community-based research of HDCE. Currently in her Junior year, Olivia has set her sight on internships, to submerse herself in any and all opportunities aimed at providing her with well-rounded experience, and prepare her for Senior year and future post graduation career excursions. Being a major in education has allowed her the ability to implement her own passions in life, through helping others and being influential and creative within her community.
