We focus on educating and empowering clients to help them navigate their legal matters better.

As an associate attorney, I lead the labor and employment portion of the practice. I assist with business formation; intellectual property matters; corporate governance matters; and assisting with various administrative tasks, as needed. As communications director, I assist with business development, including events, marketing, and communication; managing the firm's marketing plan and calendar; managing client onboarding, client invoicing, and related back-end systems; managing legal interns in various tasks; creating original web content, including legal resource articles, infographics, and custom digital illustrations; and drafting internal best practices guides.

The Community Law Project (CLP) provides free legal information in a variety of practice areas to low income and indigent communities in each of its five clinics spread throughout San Diego County.I work one-on-one with clients and volunteer attorneys in a variety of legal areas. This unique opportunity allows me to experience the benefits of helping those in need, while learning essential lawyering skills from experienced practitioners. CLP also provides periodic workshops and presentations on topics of interest. Clinical interns, like myself, deepen their understanding of public interest work and debrief their live client experiences through a classroom component.I was also selected to be the student speaker at the 2017 Community Law Project Volunteer Appreciation event.

I assisted with preparing cases for immigrant victims of domestic violence under the Violence Against Women Act and interacted with individuals in crisis situations. I prepared clients for administrative hearings before Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services.

I assisted in facilitating monthly pro bono legal clinics for the homeless community of San Diego. I researched and drafted summaries of law regarding the civil and constitutional rights of the homeless to assist in litigation. I performed detailed reviews of the San Diego Municipal Code and San Diego Police Department citation records. I also helped lead Know-Your-Rights events, performed interviews, and gathered research within the homeless community.
