Conduct assessments and help coordinate multiple NIH and Industry sponsored studies at the HIV Prevention Research Division at the Penn School of Medicine. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, participant retention, study monitoring and oversight, protocol implementation including specimen collection and administration of behavioral and safety assessments.

Collaborate with the AIDS Activities Coordinating Office (AACO) in the surveillance unit for the Data to Care project in order to identify HIV infected persons out-of-care. Through a combination of surveillance lab data and health facility patient information, clients are re-engaged for care, therefore lowering their risk of transmitting HIV. Data collection utilized to determine funds needed for the population and resource distribution to health facilities. Support Data to Care programmatic functions with Ryan White medical facilities through regular correspondence, as well as timely updates of data exchanges, data integrity, and other internal communication documents.▪ Utilize SAS to run codes to identify out-of-care HIV patients; coordinate monthly case conferences to share results with Ryan White medical facilities to develop plans on encouraging patients to obtain medical care. ▪ Update Enhanced HIV/AIDS Reporting System (eHARS) with recent patient information for CDC analysis.▪ Identify the cause of incongruences and duplications within the patient data system eHARS by conducting detailed and systematic data investigations.

Participated in formative research for an intervention called MAMAS (Mentoring Adolescent Mothers at School) with the aim to decrease rates of HIV in adolescent mothers, by increasing psychosocial support and re-enrolling mothers in school postpartum in South Africa.▪ Assisted in drafting Institutional Review Board documentation for research approval before the study began.▪ Generated qualitative research tools, including consent forms, recruitment scripts, and in-depth survey questions for adolescent maternal study, in collaboration with the Private Investigator.▪ Analyzed qualitative data from surveys administered in schools. Coded data from transcripts for school officials on how policies on teen pregnancy affects school environments and the welfare of their students.
