Olivia is a qualified Urban Planner, formerly specialising in industrial approvals and master planned communities. Recently, Olivia has transitioned into Industrial Property Development, appointed as Assistant Development Manager at AuOro. AuOro was established in 2020, and has since completed a variety of industrial/commercial projects to date, such as warehouses, service stations and stores. In this role, Olivia reports to the Directors, and takes on a broad range of responsibilities. These responsibilities include, management of planning applications, assisting with feasibilities, liaison with agents for pre-lease proposals, preparation and attendance for investor meetings and working closely with project managers in post-permit/ construction phase. In addition to the above, Olivia is the Business Development Manager at Cootes Quarry Products, a family owned and run business. Olivia focuses on growing the business and extending the reach of product sales for urban development and infrastructure projects. Olivia's strong understanding of development and leadership has recently resulted in her appointment as Co-Chair at the Victorian UDIA Outlook Committee where she is leading the direction of the committee this forthcoming term.Olivia is passionate about problem-solving strategic planning issues as demonstrated through her research on ‘The Impacts of Road Congestion on the Delivery of Bulk Goods to Project Sites in Urban Settings’. Olivia’s core interest is industrial development, freight, quarrying and logistical issues and finding ways to improve efficiency. In her previous roles, Olivia has worked with senior management to successfully advance the commencement of two Precinct Structure Plans onto the VPA’s Work Program/Business Plan. She has also worked on a range of strategic and statutory planning projects, including scheme amendments, advocacy reports, planning reports, due diligence, structure plans and project managing the planning phase and post-permit phase of developments in Victoria, Tasmania and Queensland.Olivia was appointed to the PIA National Congress Programme Planning Committee for the event in Adelaide last year. Through this, Olivia assisted with the appointment of Key Note speakers, reviews abstracts and to ensure an engaging and successful conference. Olivia has previously volunteered her time to PIA’s mentoring program to give back to the younger generation of planners.
