Instructional Designer, eLearning Developer and Professional Writer across numerous mediums who has hard-earned expertise and sweat equity in Training & Employee Development, EdTech, and Education. Whether confronting a course or critical thinking quandary, I simplify and streamline the inefficient or incomprehensible to create tools spurring comprehension, communication, and value. On the training front, I am ready jump into a problem and design asynchronous, virtual, and live adult learning experiences which address organizational needs. Advanced knowledge of Storyline 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Microsoft Suite (including CoPilot certification) and the Adobe Creative Cloud including Audition, Premiere Pro, and InDesign has proven invaluable. I am also skilled in editing, writing, proofreading, grant writing, business writing, and powerpoint design. The following is a longer bio, for fellow word nerds who enjoy reading such things for kicks ;-) Words are my wheelhouse. Anyone who has worked with me in real life knows this. My passion and thirst for a well-told story and clear messaging has taken me to unexpected places, drawing me Harold-and-the-Purple-Crayon-style from writing projects (nonfiction, Old English, adaptions of ancient myths procured from crumbling manuscripts, you name it) to the ever-intriguing, ever-changing, and more recently, AI-infused realm of instructional design.I am profoundly hard on myself behind the scenes, so that others do not have to be. My roll-up-my-sleeves attitude is undergirded by a passion—and I mean passion—for facilitating improbable outcomes via data-driven research, grammatically-correct English, and storytelling. Meanwhile, the two words most frequently applied to me by my peers, are “brilliant” and “sweet.” I find both terms humbling. They make me want to do more than I’ve done, be more than I think I can be, and help those around me recognize that they are—even within their day to day lives—their own heroes, and fundamentally more important than distant celebrities. Helping disillusioned adults, teens, and kids alike cross new thresholds of understanding fills me with a deep joy. Integrity first. Opportunity follows.I am convinced that with the right tools, teachers, and curriculum, anyone can learn anything.Yes, I mean anyone.Yes, I mean anything. That includes you. :)What is one way you have been pushing yourself lately? If you ever feel like sharing your story, geeking out about obscure vocabulary words, or discussing a project at your company, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
