Advised and monitored, in cooperation with UNPOL, the planned deployment of Congolese national police force (PNC), under the MONUC stabilization plan for east DRC. Developed routines, structures and reinforced the mandate. Daily tasks of conducting interviews with local administration and local police, spearheaded meetings with other sections within MONUC.

Seconded to the UN peacekeeping mission to Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC) as an Civilian Observer.

Treatment therapist at a home for girls aged 13-17 with psychosocial problems and with history of sexual abuse and family complications. Built trust and created a safe space for the girls, supported them to thrive in their own capabilities and attend school again. Worked with Rational Emotive Recovery (RET) and Anger Replacement Training (ART) as main tools.

Cooperated with Ministry of gender and family promotion as technical advisor to the development of the National Gender Cluster. Worked on developing the UN Rwanda Gender Task Force by establishing a secretariat, writing term of references and working on various related other documents such as drafted joint programme on GBV. Drafted the 16 days of activism.

Facilitated seminars for headmasters on HIV and WATSAN, monitored that the HIV information in schools were based on current and accurate information, trained 4 districts in the southern province on tree conservation and construction of energy saving mud stoves.
