At Ancestry, I have worked across the Family History, DNA, Social and Collaboration product verticals to lead research projects in collaboration with UX designers, product managers, product content strategists, and engineering teams at all points of the product development cycle.More specifically, I have created comprehensive research learning plans based on my assessment of team members' questions, and carried out that research to generate product insights anchored in customer needs and feedback. The learning plans are often longitudinal efforts that use various research methods at each phase in order to yield the most relevant outcomes for creating actionable insights over time (e.g. quarter to quarter). Below are some of the key efforts I have initiated and led, with highly impactful outcomes:• Identified knowledge gaps outside of specific team requests and created research learning plans to address those gaps• Presented research findings to wider UX organization and senior leadership teams for increased visibility and applicability of research findings• Led several key foundational research efforts to better understand new consumer segments and inform new feature offerings, which resulted in justification for UXD and Product to develop specific features geared towards those new consumer segments. • Drawing on my academic experience, I have successfully implemented anthropological research methods and principles to create robust customer learnings • Co-developed resources and a formalized process for democratization of research across our UX organization • Increased accessibility for non-researchers to carry out less complex research efforts on their own so that UXR team could focus on more high-impact generative research

I joined the Uber Eats team 1.5 months after it had launched in San Diego and held a pivotal role in its growth and success in the greater San Diego area. I provided personal assistance to new and existing restaurant partners, assistance which spanned a wide-range of issues and points of development for their success on the platform. I performed administrative duties for 500+ accounts in addition to working on special projects that aimed to analyze individual partners' performance metrics and work on creative solutions to bring more exposure to their storefront. As the Uber Eats platform has grown globally, our local San Diego team was annexed into the Uber Eats West division and entailed handling the account duties for all West Coast Uber Eats partners.

In my role as a Program Evaluation Intern, I was responsible for drafting and implementing a research design and methodology for the purpose of gathering data to make evaluative reccomendations for one of Kitchens For Good's programs, Project Nourish. Part of my duties included delivering a literature review and set of data collected via surveys conducted at one of the food distribution sites for the program.
