Independently conducted research on kelp farm ecology in the Narragansett Bay with funding from URI AFS Research Scholarship and mentorship from the URI Forrester Lab. Collected counts of mobile macrofauna using SCUBA and the Rover Diving Technique as well as videography during fall/ winter of 2023/24. Managed a literature database in Zotero as well as an annotated bibliography

For this role I created and organized literature database in Zotero for the study of habitat degradation on Caribbean reef ecology and dived 21 hours a week in the British Virgin Islands during the month of July 2023 to collect photos of threespot damselfish home ranges. In this role I was responsible for managing large volumes of data dating back to 1993. In addition I created code in R to analyze data. Skills that I gained during this position included rapid identification of Caribbean coral species. For this research project, I created a scientific poster that was presented at the Coastal and Environmental Fellowship Research Symposium.

Responsible for the care of larval and juvenile mahi mahi.Managed daily feedings, sanitary conditions, and water quality assessments.

Handled adult mahi-mahi feedings and daily water quality assessments.

Built and maintained sustainable trails for public use throughout Colorado. My job involved camping at the work site, hiking, using hand tools, and understanding sustainable trail theory.

Responsibilities included team leadership, daily handling and processing oysters, communicating and cultivating relationships with restaurants, managing new oyster seed, and final inspections of product before sale. I was required to be knowledgeable about the environmental and ecological conditions necessary for the growth of oysters and enthusiastically communicated with the general public about the positive impacts of oyster aquaculture. In 2022 I presented to URI's Food from the Sea class in 2022 about the history and current state of Narragansett Bay aquaculture. Lastly, I handled the company's oyster shell reef restoration project during the summers of 2019 and 2020.

Research on the impact of ocean acidification on Puget Sound Bivalves using isotope analysis methods . Prepared tissue samples for mass spectrometry.
