My name is Olivia Ocampo, and I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician at South Texas Health System and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. I am also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with the goal of becoming a doctor in the future.I have a strong passion for helping others through healthcare, and I have gained valuable skills and knowledge in pharmacy and research. As a pharmacy technician, I assist pharmacists in dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and performing dosage calculations. I have also earned the PTCB certification, which demonstrates my proficiency and professionalism in this field. As a research assistant, I work with faculty and students on various projects related to public health, infectious diseases, and molecular biology.
