Olivia Osborne is a current undergraduate student with a passion for criminal justice, classic literature, and journalism. Olivia spent the past two summers gaining valuable professional experience. In 2021, she interned with the UCLA COVID-19 Behind Bars Data Project collecting data on COVID-19 cases in juvenile detention centers. She also worked as a memorial writer and outreach assistant for Mourning Our Losses, corresponding directly with inmates to memorialize those lost to COVID-19. An avid language learner, Olivia spent 4 weeks fully immersed in French in Nantes in 2019, and achieved fluency. Olivia has studied Latin for 7 years and enjoys reading Latin texts. She is dedicated to social justice and has volunteered with organizations like Exodus Transitional Community to establish voting rights for formerly incarcerated people.
