Best Cheer Stone Inc. (BCS) is the largest vertically integrated stone company in the world. BCS was originated in China, but have expanded to 6 warehouses and showrooms across the US. We own several of our own quarries across Namibia, Africa, and China to help provide the most affordable, exotic stones in the market. My position as Marketing Project Specialist at BCS has given me the opportunity to explore several different avenues of marketing tactics including digital, event and content marketing. Specific job duties include social media management of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, influencer marketing campaigns, email marketing for all locations through Mailchimp, event planning for all locations including trade shows, creating campaigns that align with our sales and company goals, and print marketing including signage, brochure design and labeling throughout all showrooms. This position has taught me how to manage several different areas of marketing within a medium sized business.

The Public Relations Student Society of America is a national organization for public relations students or students who are interested in public relations. I am a member of WKU's PRSSA chapter. The duties of a PRSSA member include attending monthly meetings where we discuss several case studies as well as listen to the occasional guest speaker. Members are also invited to networking events and conferences across the nation. The opportunities within PRSSA are endless.

The American Advertising Federation is an organization that consists of several students and professionals with diverse skill sets who have a passion or interest in the advertising industry. Being involved in AAF means taking a deep dive into the fast-paced environment as well as advancing their careers within advertising. I currently hold the position of Vice President of Public Relations of Western Kentucky University's AAF chapter. I am also one of the founders of the new chapter at WKU. My responsibilities include being in charge of curating press releases for events, awards, opportunities, etc. to create buzz, as well as maintaining a positive reputation throughout the organization.

Imagewest is an award-winning, student-ran public relations and advertising agency on Western Kentucky University's campus. My responsibilities of Lead Public Relations and Brand Manager at Imagewest include developing public relations campaigns for clients, curating press releases for events and awards, creating copy writing materials for several uses such as for websites and brochures, accumulating mutually beneficial relationships with clients, being in charge of certain accounts I am assigned, producing social media calendars and covering events live on social media. This position has taught me responsibility as well as time management skills, adaptive skills and agency experience.

I am a senior graduating in May 2019 working on a bachelor's degree in public relations with a double minor in sales and digital advertising. Last semester, I achieved dean's list recognition. Throughout my time at WKU, I have been involved in several different organizations such as the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) as well as holding a leadership role in the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

Topper Talk Fundraising is an establishment where students at WKU call alumni and raise money for several student-led organizations, scholarship funds, academic departments, and athletic programs. During my time here, I raised thousands of dollars towards WKU organizations.
