As a Marketing and Event Planning Intern I had the opportunity to do it all. I worked heavily in operations and visual merchandising and had the opportunity to train new hires in both areas. I worked firsthand with our store manager as well as other companies to host a variety of in store events. I increased revenue by utilizing Salesfloor to communicate via emails and texts with our customers as well as maintaining our digital storefront and lookbooks. Interacting with customers and selling in the store was a large part of the job responsibility as well, and one of the most rewarding parts was helping customers find the perfect pieces for family matching pictures.

As a sales associate my job is not only to sell clothing, but to connect with clients on a personal level, know their style and what they are looking for, and maintain those relationships to create consistent client retention for our store. I also assist with store operations including receiving and unpacking new shipment, ordering supplies, pullbacks, keeping the stockroom organized. I occasionally assist with visuals and will be doing more work with visuals and event planning in a marketing internship with Lilly in the summer of 2019.

As a social media marketing specialist for The Oiler 10, I work internally and with our clients to make sure social profiles are fully optimized. Generating content and posting content on a variety of channels is a regular part of the job. Website creation, optimization, and upkeep is also included in this role.

As a marketing intern for Gillig Winery, my main focus is creating content and managing the winery social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn). I also update our website as needed, and create special menus and monthly documents advertising events, live music, and specials. I utilize MailChimp to send out monthly newsletters and updates to wine club members and guests. I have also had the opportunity to assist in event planning and do a few HR related items such as putting together an employee handbook.

As a Digital Marketing Intern at InfoStream Solutions my primary job is to create content for social media, caption, and post to primarily Pinterest and Instagram. I also update internal records kept for clients and perform other general updates needed.

As a working student manager I was responsible for training the working students and making sure that day to day operations (riding schedules and lesson times, care for the horses, feeding the horses, and general barn maintenance) were performed on time and correctly. I assisted trainers and instructors when necessary, rode horses as needed, made sure all days and shifts that needed to be were covered by a working student and overall made sure that the working student program ran smoothly.

As an assistant summer camp director I helped with registration, weekly plans and schedules for the kids, communication with parents and filing important documents such as release forms and field trip forms, assisted in teaching the kids and making sure they had a fun experience at camp and a safe experience working with and riding horses.
