• Closely monitor up to five patients on a Hospitalist unit that houses 17 acute care beds and 12 stepdown beds• Assume responsibility of relief charge nurse; performing quality and safety audits, ensuring proper procedure and protocol are being followed, and serving as an immediate resource for staff nurses• Adapt to the rapid conversion of the unit during a global pandemic, providing direct care exclusively to COVID-19 patients• Execute hospital-wide strategic plans and initiatives to advance standards of care and drive continuous improvement• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team in providing critical care and performing life-saving interventions• Serve as a preceptor, mentoring and orienting new employees to the hospital and the unit• Proficient in the usage of electronic medical record (Cerner)

• Selected as one of four students to participate in a robust clinical experience that provides optimal clinical exposure in multiple settings surrounding women’s health. •Participated in professional development settings such as APP Grand Rounds and “Progress in OB/GYN”, a biennial summit that informs healthcare professionals on most recent advances in OB/GYN medicine. •Provided with a structured clinical experience at an academic medical center and allowed to practice skills and procedures essential to women’s health, such as IUD and Nexplanon insertion.
