As a current student a future leader of the world, there are three values that construct my everyday life. Those values are servant leadership, inward and outward accountability, and support.Servant leadership: I strive to lead by putting others before myself. One time, a mentor told me the phrase, “Leaders eat last”, which has stuck with me throughout the years. I embody that mentality by celebrating the successes of others, encouraging others to step outside their comfort zone, and focusing on helping others reach their goals.Inward and outward accountability: I take pride in pushing others to be the best versions of themselves. Additionally, I hope to be surrounded by those who do the same for me.Support: Being a supportive friend, coworker, peer, mentee or mentor is something that I prioritize. It is important for everyone to know that they have someone in their corner that is always cheering for them. For the people in my life, I am that cheerleader.These themes define who I am and how I work. I am hoping to continuously cultivate these value throughout my years at IU.
