Upon graduating with a BS in Medical Laboratory Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2023, I secured my ASCP-MLS certification and honed my expertise during clinical internships at VCU Medical Center and HCA Henrico Doctors Hospital. My core competencies lie in phlebotomy, quality assurance, and interpreting complex laboratory data to aid in clinical diagnoses.At VCU Medical Center, I navigated specialized labs, enhancing my proficiency in immunopathology and molecular diagnostics, while at HCA Henrico Doctors Hospital, I contributed to the pathology department's success by ensuring accurate specimen processing and testing within multiple specialties. I am currently working as a Genetic Counseling Assistant with the hopes of being accepted into a Genetic Counseling Masters program and ultimately becoming a Genetic Counselor.
