I worked on a remote consultancy basis to Spain’s largest luxury property rental company, providing all marketing, sales and web copy in English for www.spain-select.com. I functioned as the Spanish-to-English translator when needed, and played a vital role in the launch of the company’s new website in 2010.

Bangkok Metropolitan Area, Thailand

I worked to raise awareness of the issue of child sex tourism and communicate efforts to the general public, media, fellow NGOs and members of the tourism industry. I was responsible for devising, executing and analyzing communications and social media strategy across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter and Linked In. I created original web content, drafted and edited press releases and dealt with the media as and when required. I was the main point of contact for external providers to ensure digital platforms functioned effectively. Alongside the General Manager, I was a key representative and sales person for the organization at trade shows, conferences and events, giving presentations about our work as and when needed. My work included analysis of website, media and social media output and response, plus efforts to improve and develop the brand image and awareness of The Code. I was a key contact within the organization for representatives of the tourism industry and members of The Code, and dealt with any issues or concerns as and when they arose.

I led the a targeted video strategy for one of Europe’s top business schools and its sister institute, IE University. I was part of a dedicated marketing team responsible for analyzing and identifying the organization’s marketing and sales needs, and followed this up with strategies designed to give a strong presence in the global education market. Acting as key contact and negotiator with external video and advertising agencies, I also represented the department both within and outside of the organization. I contributed my editing, translating and copy-writing skills to the department and played a pivotal role in the company’s successful social media strategy. Promoted from Assistant to Project Coordinator in less than a year, I was responsible for the selection, training and management of two assistants.

I conducted the research, analysis and presentation of daily news within the web 2.0 sector. As part of a small and innovative start-up company exploring new ways of communication through the internet, I developed a thorough understanding of emerging internet trends and online best practices. I honed my ability to produce smart and effective written copy to tight deadlines, and became adept at verbally presenting large amount of data in an eloquent and succinct manner.
