I worked with three mentees, serving as a person for them to come to with questions, concerns, and sometimes just someone to talk to as they navigate the difficulties of student life. TRIO mentees in particular come from a range of backgrounds that present obstacles to getting an education, such as being first-generation, low income, or disabled. I reach out to my mentees weekly to check their progress and offer support and resources. I also participated in the 2022 student voices panel for TRIO, where we (the mentors) shared our experiences as disadvantaged students ourselves and how we have overcome some of our obstacles.

I was the point of contact between the firm and all outside parties related to the service of summons and complaints. Processed all returns of service, both successful and unsuccessful, by entering them into the firm's database. Entered all service-related costs and produced accurate daily cost reports for the accounting department. Assisted in volume management strategies during peak times. Regularly audited a large volume of accounts to check for errors. Trained others on service department procedures, keeping procedural notes updated regularly. Created a new departmental handbook. Quickly and efficiently entered new case numbers from the circuit courts.

I rang up customers as quickly as possible during high-volume times, including in the weeks before Christmas.While I was not helping customers, I worked on recovering my assigned section and other high volume areas of the store. During the holidays I often closed the store, sometimes staying as late as 3 in the morning, working as a team to ensure that the store was in perfect condition for the following day.On the floor, I was always assisting with loss prevention. This meant staying vigilant and communicating with the team about suspicious activity.I was also assigned to work the fitting rooms. This meant greeting customers, counting apparel before it goes into the fitting rooms, and processing apparel to be brought back out to the floor.I most often worked the stock room before the store opened, processing hardlines (non-apparel) first, running it to the floor, then processing the apparel boxes.

I primarily made sandwiches and salads for customers with speed and efficiency. I was able to move quickly between making sandwiches and operating the POS system.I prepared all meats, vegetables, bread and cookies in the morning, being as time-efficient as possible to make sure everything was ready for operation on time.Between rushes, I cleaned the store (wiped down, swept, dishes) and restocked beverage and chip areas.I also answered phone calls and took orders via store phone. This included individual pickups and catering.
