As Product Owner for Data & Analytics I am responsible for delivering maximum value through data change initiatives for the organisation and internal customers in Finance, Risk, Banking, HR, Facility Management, and Impact & Economics. With a team of four POs we manage the work of a data engineering team, a data platform engineering team and a data visualisation team, as well as three data analyst teams. I also separately manage the work of a data analyst team at Triodos' UK subsidiary. I have overseen the successful implementation of the EBA Definition of Default, AnaCredit/Becris, automation of the PCAF GHG emission calculation for Business Banking and Mortgages, a business performance MI dashboard, a new UK regulatory reporting system and Experian for lending customers.In addition to the PO work of stakeholder management, requirements refinement and prioritisation, I also fulfil tasks delegated by the Group Director Data & Analytics including monthly progress reporting to the Transformation Office, contract management and intra-domain alignment.

At Kempen & Co I was given the opportunity to work on many different projects within the corporate finance and ECM department. I worked on ECM client presentations at many stages of a transaction, such as initial meetings, requests for proposal, road shows, etc. I gained a good understanding of the various ways companies can raise capital through equity issues, and the quality of work the syndicate of banks is required to provide in order to make such a transaction happen. I was also given responsibility to design a model to value a private company with very limited data available, relying solely on brief financial statements, forecasts and analysis of market data that was obtained from various sources. This project was very challenging, but also incredibly rewarding, as every improvement to the analysis directly improved the quality of the model. My responsibilities also included recurring tasks, such as creating investor profiles, writing newsletters for clients and sending trading updates. Although the content of these tasks was not always challenging, I was confronted with the importance of delivering a high standard of work and precision.

During my internship I was given full responsibility for a research project regarding fiduciary management services for pension funds in the Netherlands. This one-month project included extensive data collection and analysis, as well as various presentations to senior managers on my findings. The project gave me a deep insight in the services offered by asset managers to pensions funds, and the capital requirements restricting the pension funds. The second half of my internship consisted of a similar project for the insurance market, familiarising me with Solvency I and Solvency II capital requirements for insurance companies. Finally, I worked with the option pricing model in excel supported by Apollo and Bloomberg, used to calculate stock index prices.
