The GL Events French Group has decided in 2011 to add a hotel to the Riocentro, biggest exhibition center in South America. I have been appointed as director for this 50-million-euro project in Rio de Janeiro. From feasibility and market studies, to an opened 306 rooms, 5* hotel, today managed by Accor Hotels with the Grand Mercure brand. Negotiations with architects, building companies, and operators. The hotel was successfully opened before the Olympic games in 2016.
I have been managing at the same time the catering company of GL events in Brazil “Top Gourmet”. F&B operations for our exhibition centers in Rio & Sao Paulo. (15 M euro/year) We have won special hospitality projects for the World Football Cup Brazil 2014 and Olympic Games Rio 2016 (contracts 20 M euro)
