The Centre of Expertise GROEN is a collaboration of the four Universities of Applied Sciences Aeres, van Hall Larenstein, HAS green academy and Inholland (HAO). Together with these institutions, the COE GROEN embodies Dutch practice-oriented research in the green field.

I operate as an academic developer in higher education and reserach: academic or professional (applied sciences); in Europe (The Netherlands, France) and in ACP countries. The driver might be sustainability, food security, climate change, integration of the Sustainable Development Goals's or anything which requires insights in complexity and long-term prospective.I am dedicated to get education better prepared to future challenges by being more societal, to help fostering interdisciplinarity teaching and blended research and to create communities of practice with impact on the ground.

Mountain Wilderness was founded by mountaineers and places a stronger emphasis on the human experience of wilderness than on the exclusive defense of wildlife for its own sake. Nearly all mountain landscapes, and, to an even higher degree, the perception of mountains by humans, bear a strong cultural imprint. Mountain Wilderness works towards the inclusive preservation of this natural and cultural mountain environment.

CDI hosts the Center for Sustainable Development and Food security (CSD&FS), which seeks to accelerate sustainable global food security by facilitating and linking ground-breaking forms of research, education and societal engagement. My works consists in linking educational institutions on food (security) in the Netherlands, and in carrying out projects on education development with our partners in the South, with some emphasis on African Universities.

I am working on the creation of a learning community of representatives of the higher education, authorities and corporates. The ambition is to set up a structure that speeds up and propels a more systemic view of sustainability in the education of the 'green' domain and in the society.
