Olivier Hari is both a practising attorney-at-law (Schellenberg Wittmer Ltd. Geneva/Zurich) and a part-time Professor of Corporate and Business Law (University of Neuchâtel). He focuses on three main areas: Corporate Law, Financial Markets Regulation and Restructuring/Insolvency. He co-heads the Restructuring & Insolvency practice group at Schellenberg Wittmer.Olivier advises private companies, public corporation and board members throughout the whole life of the business (structuring, financing, including early stage financing, compliance with financial markets' regulation and rulings, board member's recruiting, corporate governance and governance implementation, drafting of shareholders' agreements, organization and leading of shareholders' and boards' meetings, crisis management, refinancing and reorganisation in case of financial distress, pre-packed plans' drafting and negotiation, shareholders' and board members' dispute resolution, liquidation, sale, acquisition). He has a strong expertise in financial markets' regulation. As such, he has been involved in several cases and also appointed by FINMA as expert, commissioner or liquidator of several regulated financial institutions and unauthorized financial businesses.Besides, Olivier Hari is familiar with change, transition and crisis situations. He is a recognized Turnaround, Insolvency and Corporate Restructuring & Recovery practitioner and advises distressed businesses, and creditors / shareholders of distressed businesses. He is also appointed by courts or supervising authorities to monitor, implement restructuring plans and even manage distressed businesses. He has also strong knowledge of interim directorship based on court's order. He is ranked and recognised as an expert by WWL, Legal 500, Chambers, IFLR and Leaders League.Olivier is member of several professional associations : the Swiss Board Institute, the Swiss Institute of Directors, M&A Experts (Chambre Suisse des experts en transmission d'entreprises), Swiss Turnaround Association, Geneva Bar, Fédération suisse des avocats.
