About Olivier Romain
Once I finished my studies and received my ENSI engineering diploma, I worked as a network engineer for well-known equipment manufacturers such as Alcatel and Siemens. By joining Comverse as a project manager, I was able to implement the experience gained in my previous jobs, as well as acquire the soft skills necessary for any project manager, notably thanks to the 'PMP' certification of Project Management Institute.During these 4 years at Comverse, my team and I successfully completed several projects on behalf of Tier 1 operators such as Vodafone Netherland, A1 Austria or Teliasonera. Following this experience, I joined the company Qosmos as pre-sales. This position allowed me, in addition to adding new competencies, to focus into the initial phase of a project, in particular the first contact with customers, the collection of needs, and the definition of the scope.As project director at Vedicis, I was in charge of delivering PCEF & PGW type solutions for telco operators in France, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. In this context, time zone jumps, cultural differences as well as the additional complexity linked to the virtualization of equipment which has become very popular with operators make projects increasingly complex. Only a combination of technical & non-technical skills, unwavering will and motivation can make each project a success.Today I am business developer at Bouygues Energies & Services, in charge of promoting new technico-commercial solutions. At the crossroads between IoT, technical building management and LoRaWAN networks, new solutions emerge to improve the energy performance of buildings and territories. Cities like Châlons-en-Champagne, Brive-La-Gaillarde and Calais have chosen BYES to reduce their energy consumption thanks to these new solutions.I also have the chance to manage the deployment of the LoRaWAN network in the city of Brive-La-Gaillarde, whose primary function will be to control the city's lighting.Specialties: Program Management, Operations, Validation, Support, Team Leadership, Customer Relationship Management, Multi-cultural Environment, LTE, Charging, IP Networks, IOT, LoRaWAN, Energy PerformanceYou like my photo of the Louvre in the background?
