As a true believer and one of the first investor in Gabi SmartCare, I supported the team as technology advisor for IT architecture and AI strategy.

I managed a team of 17 dedicated individuals and all operations on the Belgium and Luxembourg markets (strategy, engineering, product development, finance and operations management). During more than 5 years, I led the Solera country units in Belgium & Luxembourg (€80M annual revenues) with full responsibility on the P&L.Informex provides SaaS for automotive claim handling. The main customers are the insurance companies, vehicles assessors and body shops.I was the Chairman of the Board of the subsidiary in Belgium and Board member of different subsidiaries in Solera Holdings (Sidexa in France, Audatex España in Spain and Informex Hellas in Greece).Key achievements: - Business development: Grow the company by 5% per year for 5 years by rebuilding the relationship with the customers and diversifying the lines of business (IRES, CarDNA, QuickGlass and AudaGarage) in a saturated and declining market - Design and deploy the next generation of Claims Management SaaS platforms (Claims360, Virtual Drive-in and Claims.lu) and implemented a new pricing model - Migrated the core backend from mainframe COBOL to Java micro-services and to Google Cloud Platform - Implemented agile methodology with continuous delivery and continuous integration - Implemented GDPR compliance - Industrialized operations by deploying ERP modules (CRM, subscriptions, sales, invoicing, helpdesk & purchase) to streamline process efficiency - People management to attract and retain the best talents in a very competitive environment

I had the responsibility of IT operations, development and infrastructure for Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Egypt until the region restructuring at corporate level. I led a team of 7 individuals composed by architects and software engineers. The main part of the job was to define the local and regional strategy with the Regional Managing Director for all products development, especially in the international context.Key achievements: - Managed the roadmap of the international developments based on business requirements to ensure quality and consistency (Belgium, Italy and Greece). - Accompanied the transition of systems to the other subsidiaries (Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Egypt). - Implemented Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and ITGC (IT Global Control) for security and audits (no deficiencies since the setup). - Standardized the technology stack and migrated from virtual machines to a Docker Container based infrastructure.

I had the responsibility to ensure a collaborative culture across the international team and deliver projects while minimizing the impact on our customers.Key achievements: - Developed and deployed the Synaps Claims management platform for Italy and Greece. - Standardize the development process to Java and inspire a collaborative culture (code sharing, best practices, agile methodology). - Consolidated and relocated the data center (no customer impact, cut down the facilities costs by 35%).

In the early days, I was a Java developer with a strong focus on the architecture, the back end and the infrastructure (Linux and High availability Open Source solutions).
