My journey into app development began in 2001 with FreeBSD and PHP, although I've been a devout computer nerd since I was a kid. Over time I've worked with a wide range of technologies and architectures; languages, libraries, databases, frameworks, CI/CD tools, and services. Recently I've worked primarily with Python and Node, leveraging various cloud services for applications with AI and geospatial components. With roughly 20 years of experience, I'm familiar with the processes and have the skills required to develop applications and services, from planning to deployment. I'm familiar with many cloud services and have a solid understanding of cost over convenience when deploying and scaling cloud-based solutions. I'm comfortable running things on bare-metal as well. I'm an advocate for containerization, and I've been responsible for facilitating DevOps needs for quite a while.I'm a highly adaptable engineer, a multiplier, and have a passion for mentoring junior developers. I've received the title "the guy who knows lots of stuff" by coworkers, which I like. My skills are well suited for startups where I contribute to every stage in the engineering and deployment process.My hobbies are all computer-related. Notably: IoT, ML-Agents, computer vision, robotics, and network security. Long ago, I was an artist who dreamed of 3D modeling characters for films and games. I still have an artistic eye, and I'm a proficient front-end developer with many years of UI/UX experience. My experience with Adobe and Autodesk products often comes in handy as well. Most of all - I'm passionate about computers, science, and technology. I love what I do.
