I started my career as a waitress growing out of my shell and learning what it take to be personable. i then moved back into call center customer service. After time i found that these were not the right fit for me as i still didn't feel as if my skills were being truly challenged the way i felt they could be.I decided to take a turn and pivot to logistics. where i learned a whole new exciting world. i learned a level of professionalism that i did not know existed. Working for CEVA showed me i had chosen the correct path. At CEVA Logistics i learned multiple Microsoft applications. I was introduced to two warehouse management systems. I learned export requirements for multiple countries to ship hi-tech computer equipment. i was studied packaging requirements as well as inbound and outbound procedures.When the company downsized our location i stepped up and took over the receiving department as interim lead managing a team of 5. my deduction skills and a keen eye allowed me to succeed in this role. I shined when lost material needed to be located as i was good as deciphering the trail to located thousand of dollars worth of Verizon computer equipment. this then allowed me the opportunity to move into a interim shipping Lead as i had completed training a different employee to take the interim receiving lead position.As a interim Shipping lead i managed a team of 10-15 people depending on the work levels. it was face pace. challenging and rewarding. it was bitter sweet when i made the decision to move on an continue to grow.I then worked for Vira Insight. This company was a step of as the specialize in manufacturing and production of store fixtures. I learned inventory management and 3rd warehouse management system. I was able to hone my data entry skills and time management. my skills with excel allowed me to stand out to the shipping department and was soon made a shipping coordinator.The fast pace of seasonal rollouts and expedited request was a normal occurrence. i dabbled in account management for a short time working with companies such as Walgreens, Ulta, CVS, and Motorola. i learned what it takes to manage a project from a prototype stage to full national rollout of display. I then took a receiving lead position managing a team of 5. My main focuses were return good assessment, international container receipts, with secondary focus on air shipment and parcel receipts. I now am looking for my new career home. A company that see the value in its employees and shows appreciation for those that show the pride they take in a good days work.
