I was responsible for continuous improvement of Metsä Wood’s sales process and customer experience. I am a member and representative of Metsä Wood in Metsä Group’s core team for Sales process development. Metsä Wood’s recent CRM system update and upcoming pricing tool, CPQ development are essential parts of my current role. Customer experience monitoring, development and continuous improvement are also under my responsibility.

Metsä Wood’s customer service and logistics are under my responsibility including driving digital services. I’m also involved in several sales development and other working projects in key roles. The most comprehensive one currently is the building the new sales funnel management process incl. new CRM implementation. I’m also responsible for driving and developing customer experience management.

My main responsibilities included running Metsä Wood’s digital customer portal Metsä Wood Online and also acting as a project manager for all customer related EDI connection projects. Promoting digital sales and developing sales analytics and reporting to further enhance Metsä Wood's success in digital sales were also part of my duties. I took over yet again my old position as a Operations Manager, substituting for a sick leave. This time the position included also forestry operations in addition to harvesting operations and supply chain management. Also the geographical area was larger, including two districts and I acted as a superior for total of 12 operations foremen and six loggers. Annual deliveries was over 2 million m3 of wood. After the organisational change the Assistant manager, Forest Energy position had terminated, I continued under title called Logistics Supervisor, Wood energy. That included not only forest biomass but also steering residual wood energy, eg. chips, bark etc. from Metsä Group's mills to power plants. During this period my area of responsibility grew up to four districts and I had over thirty delivery sites and ca. ten contractors under my supervision. Anyhow, after gaining some experience in wood supply chain and harvesting operations I decided it was time to move on and broaden my skills in forest energy. I had a chance to learn the basics from bioenergy sector, eg. resource and deliveries planning. Key responsibilities included managing harvesting operations in Lappeenranta district, resource management and assistance to raw wood sales negotiations and deliveries to small and middle sized sawmills. I can say that this position is the one where I learnt the most of wood supply operations, wood supply chain planning and management. I also gained experience in recruiting, personnel leadership and developing working methods and enhancing organisational efficiency.

In my very first job in Forestry Sector as a Transport Foreman I was in charge of one Lohja district's team's raw wood supply steering, handling entrepreneur instructions and payments. Succesful outcome required also close co-operation with district management and the teams. Annual raw wood supply at the district was around 1 milj. cubic meters and I was in charge of over ten transportation entrepreneurs.
