Company headquarter in Liechtenstein, working for it's subsidiaries around the world. 7 years working from the Dutch subsidiary to learn all facets of vacuum making and thin film production. Main market Data -storage (Compact Disc metallization). Relocated to the U.S.A. for 3 years servicing optical and semiconductor systems in all America's. Relocated to South Korea to start up a service department within the existing sales organisation. Biggest issue cultural differences between local sales and European headquarters but able to make a profitable organisation within 2 years. After 3 years in Korea relocated to the Swiss Headquarter.

Re-organizing service department for support of thin film equipment for semiconductor, optical and data storage production. Hiring local engineers and support staff for field service, parts sales and administration. Adding value to all service department aspects to make Korean customers willing to pay for the added value. Milestone: after 1,5 year of hard work the service department was accepted as a profit center within the Korean company. After-ales Services could be sold by Korean sales people as part of there portfolio. Before after sales was not discussed with customers.

U.S.A.

Transfer from the Netherlands to New Hampshire (USA). Working as senior field service engineer in the field of thin film equipment for Semiconductor, optical and data storage applications. Traveling through America and neighbouring countries (Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, etc.) to support customers with production issues. Relocated within America from New Hampshire to Silicon Valley to be closer to end users. Contributed in the setup of the Silicon Valley sales- and service hub. Working with the Office Team and independently on the road to get problems fixed and customers up and running. Working experience in the mechanical and electrical field (including +12.000 Volt electronbeam evaporation sources). Always welcomed by end-users to use and share my experiences to make things better.
