A long time resident of Maple Ridge, Dan was born in 1958, raised in Burnaby and moved to Maple Ridge in 1981 where he bought his first house and started his family.Father of two independent adult children, Amanda 23 and Brandon 21, he now ‘empty nests’ with his partner and wife Joanne.Dan is currently the executive director of the Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association. In addition he works part time for Coast Mountain Bus Company where he is a member of the CAW Local 111.Dan and his family are well known for their long time community involvement with a variety of annual events, societies, associations and committees.During the different stages of his life Dan has developed a reputation as a strong worker, committed community person and competent businessman.Dan has been politically active since his teen years and has proven to be a very effective advocate for any person, organization or issue he has chosen to represent.Dan is committed to a whole Canada. He has travelled the country extensively from coast to coast and sincerely treasures the diversity that makes us Canadian. He is concerned about our global reputation going into the future. Dan is committed to ensuring our reputation as Canadians is restored. He also feels it is time to end the conflict between the economy and the environment. He feels this is a time of great opportunity to make some positive change for Canada and is looking forward to taking a leadership role for the benefit of future generations.
