- Responsible for liaising with external bodies and the Government.- Contract negotiations with Insurance providers for Health and Dental Plans, Fredericton Transit for Bus Pass negotiations, Student Union for Safe Ride, and any other services provided by the Graduates Students Association.

In accordance with the WIMBIZ vision, the purpose of this committee is to focus on WIMBIZ Advocacy engagement with private and public organizations as well as relevant stakeholders.This entails building and maintaining strategic relationships and holding periodic meetings with public and private sector leaders to discuss topical issues, proffer solutions to critical challenges women face in businesses and the workplace. It is also aimed at promoting the attainment of women into leadership positions across diverse private sector organizations as well as governance within the public service.

As the pioneer Ethics and Compliance Lead in Africa, I have the responsibility of championing and building an ethical culture across the Africa region. I help the business to embed the PZ Cussons Code of Ethical Conduct and ensure that the anti-bribery and corruption compliance programme is effectively implemented across Africa.I am responsible for developing an appropriate risk-based monitoring programme to provide internal assurance to the Africa Managing Director and Group Head of Ethics & Compliance that policies and procedures are being complied with.I also help to develop trust across the organisation to encourage the raising of concerns and promoting a culture of ‘speaking up’ to enable appropriate remedial actions to be taken.

I had the responsibility of ensuring that GSK West Africa grew as a consumer focused sustainable business by delivering the Consumer Healthcare Risk Management and Compliance programme, integrating the Compliance vision and framework to build organizational capacity, embedding effective Internal Controls and promoting a healthy culture based on GSK Values.

I was one out of the four Culture Champions for the Europe, Middle East and Africa Compliance team. My responsibilities revolved around coming up with initiatives to promote diversity, equity and inclusion across GSK EMEA.

- Perform periodic risk assessments of the company’s business environment- Review the adequacy and effectiveness of the organisation’s system of internal control and the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities at least once every year.- Assist with preparation of annual audit plan to ensure effective and efficient conduct of audit execution- Hold pre-audit meetings based on audit time table and agreed ad-hoc with HIC&A- Conduct routine audits according to annual audit plan to ensure compliance to management policies and procedures.- Review the set procedures to ensure adequacy, relevance, and completeness.- Review, evaluate, and update audit program for each audit job assigned.- Report of any material misuse of funds, embezzlement or other acts of fraud, and obtain response from persons concerned with issue identified.- Generate report and ensure that they are dispatched to various relevant recipients.- Assist with review of new procedures and policy to conform to best practice.- Decide on job allocation for team members (where necessary) and decide on the high risk areas.

- Statutory audit of companies in various sectors of the economy e.g upstream and downstream companies in the oil and gas sector, power and natural resources sectors etc.- Performed different Agreed Upon Procedures as detailed in the terms of the engagement letter e.g risk assessment procedures, IFRS conversion, Inventory verification and valuation exercises etc.
