We increased our acreage by 150%, planted 20 more acres of trees, and finalized the expansion of our fish farm to 26 fish ponds. managed overall human resource and monthly budgeting needs of the farm. During this period, employee retention increased by 40% and we developed a streamlined payment system for both staff and contractors. Worked on both the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) and USDA organic certification processes for the farm. We got our UNBS certificate in 2020 and finalized the development and implementation of our Internal Management System (IMS) for organic certification. I work alongside the director on market research, strategy development, market research, customer relations, export and logistics coordination, local government relations development, among others. This improved our efficiency as a company and enabled progress in terms of growth. I also managed the social media accounts which gave us more visibility and international features for example in the IFOAM Organics blog. We now have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages for the farm. -
