Segun is a seasoned banker with extensive experience in banking operations, payments, internal controls, and auditing. He joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GTBank Plc) in 1997, rising to the position of General Manager and Chief Internal Auditor before leaving the bank in May 2021.He is an alumnus of some prestigious institutions like the Lagos Business School (SMP Class of 2006), Institute of Management Development, Switzerland (Mobilizing People, 2011), and the Cranfield University (Executive Leadership Programme, 2014). Segun recently obtained the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University, United States of America. His research interest was on transformational leadership and employee turnover.As a Federal Scholar, Segun was sponsored through secondary school in FGC Ogbomoso by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He also won the Chevron University Scholarship for his education at the Obafemi Awolowo University, was consistently on the Dean's Honours List, and graduated with a First-Class degree in 1995.Segun is happily married with a son. He has had polio on his left leg since Age 1. His hobbies include playing indoor games like Scrabble, Ludo, and Chess. He is a financial consultant, leadership coach, and fraud investigator/trainer. He is also an Investment Coach with a keen interest in the Stock Market, deal structuring, and creating financial flows. Segun is the Lead Consultant of XEMC Ltd, a business re-engineering consultancy and training firm which he set up after leaving GTBank Plc.
