• Developed WaterAid Nigeria’s communication strategy and was responsible for the implementation of this strategy, which guides the organisation’s advocacy and influencing agenda through communications, media, and campaigns.• Functioned as the custodian of the organisation’s brand and I promoted and strengthened WaterAid Nigeria’s profile through the media and other exhibition opportunities. • Grew and managed a database of over 250 relevant journalists and media actors. Coordinated WaterAid Nigeria’s support to national and state level media and civil society organisation networks to achieve targets.• Led campaigns and key WaterAid events, published campaign follow up reports for dissemination on internal and external platforms. • Co-led a campaign to make WASH a major election campaign agenda in Nigeria. Worked with a team to develop and plan for the ‘Vote4WASH’ campaign, managing the communications and social media aspect of the campaign to raise awareness, amplify citizens’ voice, and generate local action. As a result of this campaign, Aljazeera, an international and independent media house, reported that after "corruption," and before "religious and ethnic divisions," "water" was a key election issue, quoting advocacy from WaterAid Nigeria for raising awareness on the issue.

• Primarily responsible for the development of UNICEF Nigeria’s country newsletter and website.• Developed the newsletter format according to specifications in collaboration with the Graphic Artist Unit and was responsible for the generation, development, and review of content for the newsletter and website.• Selected documents to be uploaded to the website and recommended links, materials, and ideas relevant to improve the website.• Visited project sites and events to conduct interviews, wrote human interest stories, feature articles and took photos for documentation. • Edited materials provided by Field Offices and Programs to make them reader-friendly, grammatically correct, and in the UNICEF brand style.
