As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations to ascertain diagnoses, devise treatment strategies, and coordinate care requirements for clients with mental health, substance use, or other psychiatric and medical conditions.Provision of comprehensive psychiatric and/or medical services within established medical standards, timelines, and in accordance with all regulations imposed by relevant health licensing boards.Application of medical knowledge and expertise to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of illnesses.Maintaince of accurate and legible medical records for all patients evaluated and treated by the Nurse Practitioner.Adhere to professional standards and ensure timely, concurrent, and accurate clinical documentation. This documentation meets State and Federal regulations, clinical necessity, and appropriate coding standards.Implementation of pharmacologic treatment strategies, order medications, monitor progress on psychiatric and/or other medications, and evaluate their effectiveness.Order, obtain, and interpret appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostics, utilizing the results to inform clinical decisions.Collaborate with Medical Doctors (MDs) to provide clinical services and coordinate care for mental health patients.ensure timely access to care and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet client needs. I adhere to applicable productivity standards.Provide comprehensive medication and health education, including informed consent, benefits, risks, side effects, and alternative treatments for prescribed medications.Proficient in conducting telemedicine technology appointments for intake and follow-up encounters and comply with state laws, regulations governing PMHNPs, including adhering to supervised hour requirements, completing continuing medical education (CME), and conducting appropriate assessments in a timely manner under the supervision of a supervising physician.
