Responsible for the administration of the Ontario Power Generation – Nuclear’s Emergency Preparedness program requirements as defined in the Consolidated Nuclear Emergency Plan. Guaranteeing OPG-N’s compliance with provincial and federal legislation and ensuring, in the event of a nuclear/radiological emergency, OPG’s assets and personnel, the people of Ontario, and the environment are protected. - Assisted in the implementation and management of Ontario Power Generation – Nuclear Division’s Emergency Preparedness program, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations. - Maintained adequate Emergency Response Organization staffing levels, successfully organizing training and scheduling individuals for key positions to meet regulations and ensure all Emergency Response staff could function effectively during nuclear events and emergencies.- Evaluated OPG’s Emergency Preparedness programs, identifying gaps based on SWOT analysis and working cooperatively to create improvement strategies, aligning the program with international standards to achieve top-tier performance.- Improved Emergency Preparedness communications for a more engaged and informed organization.- Managed the alerting system (MIR3) for all OPG nuclear events
