Mechanical Engineering Students Association is refered as MESA which is a organisation of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda. It organises industrial visits, expert sessions, workshops, business awareness programs, technical quizzes, etc. I am glad to have a part of MESA (Mechanical Engineering Students Association). It is formed for the vision of helping the students to get hard skills with practical industrial knowledge as well as soft skills. I joined as a technical team member with responsibilities to find up new leads for technical events (offline or online) and to give new ideas for futuristic events.

I learnt how the pipe sizes are calculated using standards for the water supply and drainage system, positioning of fire hydrant system in the whole plant considering the fire safety standards with schematic diagram, design of pump room, sleeve layout for pump room, industrial water tank space planning with pipe routing, rain water harvesting, plant sewage system, technical specs of components and many more things regarding MEPF as well as regarding career growth. At last all things were put together in the drawing and made the Coordination drawings.

Gatrad CAL-Test Laboratories and Research Pvt. Ltd. is the company provides the calibration of measuring instruments like vernier calipers, pressure gauges, micrometers, torque wrench, etc. The company also provides the facilities to measure the dimensional parameters of finished product.I have learnt so many things about calibration of measuring instruments and measurements of finished products.I have measured dimensional parameters of finished products by using vernier caliper.I have done calibration of vernier calipers and micrometer. I got knowledge about MTSC (Measuring Tape and Scale Caliper), Electronic plunger Probe with DRO, VMM (Video Measuring Machine), Universal Length Measuring Machine, FCDM (Floating Carriage Diameter Measuring Machine), Slip gauges, Length bars and many more machines used to calibrate the instruments (i.e. Vernier calipers, micrometers, Taper scale, etc).I have also learnt how to calibrate various types of pressure gauges by using a pressure gauge comparator.Also, I have learnt how to calibrate a torque wrench with a test rig machine and learnt that a simple wrench is available in the market but why torque wrench is used in industry. The reason is very simple that the nut bolt assembly is required to tighten at a certain optimal torque value so that it can sustain in industrial conditions (i.e. high vibration, relative motion between parts, etc).
