To provide leadership and direction to the purchasing team responsible for annual procurement spend of 1.1 Bln $ by setting challenging targets on cost,quality,delivery and lead time. Ensure continuous availability of all necessary raw materials, services, spares and consumables to maintain reliable operations.Identify and work on Continuous improvement based on principles of TCO and Life cycle analysis.Ensure timely contracting and delivery of equipment and services to maintain growth and improvement plans.

Key responsibility was to work as Purchasing head to set up Greenfield project of 2MTPA iron ore Concentration plant including mine development and vessel loading facilities in state of Sonora in Mexico. The project had a total outlay of USD 156 MillionIt included developing procurement strategy, conducting negotiations and finalizing long term strategic contracts for major project items and services, Land agreements with local communities, negotiations with transport unions, setting and monitoring individual and team performance, networking with group companies, sharing best practices, management reporting, setting savings targets and ensuring timely availability of materials and resources to sustain the operation / growth plans.
