Worked with government agency (Nepal Electricity Authority) briefly during 1984-1991 and then as a freelance Consultant with a number of national and international consultants in a number of infrastructure projects mostly in Water Resources and Transport Sector in various roles and various Project stages encompassing complete project cycles from conception to commissioning, such as desk study, prefeasibility and feasibility study, detailed engineering design, design review, construction supervision and contract administration.Has worked in the positions of design engineer of water supply and irrigation projects, hydrologist and drainage engineer, key hydrologist in a WB funded hydrological study of 77 river basins in Nepal, project coordinator and team leader in a number of Irrigation, Water Supply, Hydropower, Highway and Railway Projects.Hydrological modelling of extreme flows, regional flood frequency modelling, water balance study, rainfall-runoff modelling comprise the core competence area besides planning and design of urban and highway drainage system. Hydropower engineering is another core area where involvement in a number of Projects ranging in size from 4 MW to 10800 MW have provided exposure to various aspects of the project in capacities as hydrologist, design engineer, Project Coordinator and Team Leader.
