CurrentAs an audit and risk professional, I contribute to the development of new business initiatives and existing strategies by performing risk assessments, providing consultation on risk and control issues and providing expertise on the proposed design of internal controls.In my first 3 months on the job, I assessed the performance of the internal audit department to ensure compliance with the International Professional Practice Framework Standards and made recommendations on areas of opportunities identified to help improve the audit function.I review and analyze financial data to validate accuracy and/or detect fraud and also review audit work performed by other team members to provide reasonable assurance that audit objectives have been achieved.
