Special Projects also incorporates vehicle builds and fit-outs utilising industry suppliers and BA's own suite of tray and canopy solutions.I commenced at BA with enrolment into an engineering (fabrication trade) apprenticeship focusing on the fabrication of its aluminium product solutions. Through my apprenticeship I have developed levels of competency in multiple areas including: - 3 axis CNC Mill operation- Press brake operation- Profile cut parts cleaning and deburring (hand deburring and fladder deburring)- MIG welding aluminium and mild steel (Synergic, four step and non-synergic)- TIG welding aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel (four step, pedal, HF and scratch start)- Fixturing and basic jigging- Quality control of products and production processes- Troubleshooting and problem solving on all areas of production- Auto electrical work including diagnosis and troubleshooting- Mechanical installation, modification and servicing- Assembly, final fitment, finish and deliveryThe TAFE training has been conducted by Ringwood Training. The quality of teaching staff is excellent with extensive and continuing industry experience across a broad range of roles and industries. The staff have challenged me to excel in the quality of work I have produced. They also helped me explore and understand the theory and how it is applied in industry practice. The facilities are well equipped with a suite of Fronius TIG and MIG welders, Trumpf press brake, Mac computer lab, array of metal turning and fabrication equipment and CNC 5 axis plasma cutter with a HVAC table and tube cutting.
