My job as an author is to take guitar, bass and keyboard tracks and create MIDI notation based on the audio, which is then read by the Rock Band engine to generate the notes seen by the player in-game. I do both 5-lane charting, which is the five coloured frets buttons used traditionally in rhythm games, and Pro Keyboard charting, which is a note-for-note transcription of a keyboard or other instrument chart.My QA duties include testing and giving feedback on charts that other members of the team have produced, and also testing other aspects of the songs in-game, including the audio mix. I also take part in playtesting and peer reviewing of the work of other authors and authoring groups in the Rock Band Network community.As project manager, I am responsible for scheduling work for other authors and ensuring that work is done within the deadlines.

Kohinoor FM is a local community radio station in Leicester. I had many different duties as the Studio Co-ordinator Support, including but not limited to:Writing up timetables and schedules for commercial breaks.Helping out with technical problems in the studio.Monitoring and recording content of shows such as songs, calls and commercial breaks.Watching over the studio area.Producing documents and other files as required by other workers and management.Cataloguing the equipment in the studio and inventory of the studio area (e.g. CDs).

At BearTrap Interactive, a team formed by final-year students at Salford University, my role combined the disciplines of design, sound and narrative. I was in charge of writing the game design document, composing, recording and producing all of the music and sound effects within the game, and writing the plot, characters and dialogue, including cutscene scripts.

On the Submergence project, I was in charge of composing, recording and producing the soundtrack for the game, which consisted of 6 level themes and a menu theme. I also recorded and produced all of the sound effects for the game.
