• Review design limits of equipment and insure that we are operating within the correct manufacturer design conditions.• Thorough “hands-on” knowledge in a wide range of mechanical equipment, prime movers and ancillaries.• Coordinate the repair, inspections and testing of mechanical equipment.• Assist mechanical personnel with trouble shooting activities. • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis activities. • Prepare Preventative and Predictive maintenance plans. • Review and analyze the data from vibration monitoring and oil sample testing. Use this data to predict failures, increased risk of failure and to develop plans for extending the run life of mechanical equipment.• Supervise major overhauls, rebuilds, and major projects for the Maintenance group.• Assist the Facilities and Commissioning groups with equipment reviews and troubleshooting activities as needed. • Mentor Mechanical Technicians and Area Process Leads by offering instruction, transfer of experience and training.• Review and evaluate the vendor supplied spare parts list and prepare Preliminary Material request forms for the needed spare parts. • Review and evaluate spare parts stocking levels for all operational mechanical equipment to ensure all necessary spare parts are stocked in the warehouse at the appropriate minimum and maximum levels.
