Visit detained POCs (arbitrary/normal detention) at detention facilities and provide legal support, which includes representation at relevant court(s)/governmental bodies as per the Iraqi law.Visit intelligence and other relevant agencies/authorities to verify information and discern security considerations.Provide consistent and thorough reports on represented detainees and detainees being traced.Follow procedures for legal representation and advise client of the options to solve their particular legal problem and make recommendations on the best actions to take.Document detention patterns and conditions in detention faciliti

1. Provide technical advice and guidance concerning assessment and analysis of detention and related criminal justice systems; actively participate in activities related to detention, assisting the Mobile Detentions Team and its partners in developing its capacity to understand the underlying or systemic causes of humanitarian protection problems.2. Provide technical advice and guidance concerning the management and operation of detention sites and related criminal justice systems, both formal and informal.3. Provide advice on how to best advocate with authorities at various levels to ensure compliance with internationally recognized standards and improve relevant aspects of detention. 4. Develop productive relationships with authorities at various levels in order to gather information on conditions of detention, and to trace, communicate with, and gain access to detained individuals. 5. Prepare, review, or edit information products for both NP and the humanitarian community, such as situation reports, context analyses, security briefings, detention hotspot maps, and detention center profiles. 6. Assist in continuous development and implementation of the Mobile Detention Team’s current strategy. 7. In line with NP’s strategy, develop and maintain relationships with a range of authorities, professional organizations, stakeholders and interlocutors in the country. 8. Contribute to the development and implementation of capacity building programs, as necessary.9. Participate in external meetings where detention systems and related issues are discussed. 10. Develop comprehensive knowledge of the programming and engagement of other actors active in detention-related issues.

• Assist persons of concerns to access and enjoy the respect of their rights in light of international standards and according to relevant bodies of law.• Willingness to work primarily in the field as part of a mobile protection monitoring team, traveling to various locations within KGR and Mosul when it's requited• Provide accurate and neutral legal consulting to Refugees on a range of legal issues and concerns, particularly related to missing documentation.• Advocate with local authorities to ensure that the rights of Refugees are upheld and protected.• Enhance knowledge of relevant protection issues; particularly related to changes in Residency and Asayish policy affecting Refugees.• Follow up on detention cases where required, and advocate for the basic rights of Refugees to be respected.• Represent Refugees in cases related to Sexual and Gender Based Violence, including domestic violence.
