My work broadly concentrates on assessing the impact of diseases and therapies on patients' quality of life and health outcomes to help healthcare providers and decision-makers when providing options of care for their patients. My approach and work in research are mainly based on primarily collected clinical or social data, but some of my work uses secondary databases to investigate diseases and outcomes at the population level. Some of my work utilizes the cross-sectional design of studies whereas most of my work is conducted utilizing the longitudinal study design. In my research, I focus on the treatment outcomes for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes with some interest in mental illnesses. Besides that, I also like to investigate the public perception and attitude surrounding health-seeking behaviors. I believe that understanding public behaviors and the outcomes of healthcare services would then help us navigate the future to better care and personalized medicine.
