Project Overview: In this project, I was exposed to design steps for Substations Design, starting from the tendering phase to Primary, and Secondary Engineering Design.Through this project, we were able to:● Understand the Single Line Diagram "SLD" and the Layout of the Substation with detailed technical information, Calculating different Current ratings and Short Circuit levels, and sizing Transformers, Busbars, and CBs distributed along the Substation.● Design the Relay & Metering Diagrams, meeting substation Protection Specifications.● Size Instrument Transformers (CTs & VTs), considering Metering & Protection Cores.● Design the Earthing System following the IEEE-80-2000 standard.● Design Medium Voltage Cables for the Substation.● Design the Auxiliary systems (AC,DC and Comm. ) and the Capacitor banks● Design the Relay Coordination Schemes for Different type of relays used.This project almost covered all the knowledge areas we gained throughout our 5 years of Electrical Power Engineering studies. From conceptualization to execution, it has been a rollercoaster of learning, late nights, and collaboration. 🌱 Growth and Learning: Throughout this journey, I’ve honed my skills in a different types of Softwares such as[Autocad and ETAP] and increased my Skills of Design and innovation. I’ve learned the art of balancing creativity with practicality, and the importance of adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Medium voltage stations for train-specific rooms (RS).4. High voltage stations (66kv / 20kv) insulated with gas (GIS) at the Salam workshop.5. Cables, their types, and how to test them.

I Have been Trained on Control systems such as water treatment Plant and other industrial Operations beside improving my skills in:-1-Siemens PLC Programing2- SCADA Systems3- Programming VFDs4- Programming HMIs

I have Gained a good experience in Solar Systems , as I have learned the Following:-1-Making engineering drawings for projects.( Design, Shop drawing, As Built)2- Reading and analyzing electrical catalogues and solar energy components.3- Design On-grid , Off-grid and Pump system projects 4-Design a complete project with precise calculations in terms of the chassis, cables, inverters, power panels, and electrical protections.5-Connecting and programming inverter devices of all kinds.6- Dealing with various fault codes.7-Procedures and files required to manage the project of implementing a station site connected to the network.8-Field installations for the company's projects as part of training.
