Omar Bin Eid is the Chairman and Founder of OBEG (Omar Bin Eid Group of Companies) in 1997 with diverse business interests in the local and regional markets. The Omar Bin Eid Group's key activities comprise four business fields: Architecture and Design, Construction & Facilities Management, Real Estate, and Leasing Management, and Food and Beverage. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Emirates University; has completed his Master of Philosophy "Mas-Phil" in Contractual Risk Management from Herriot Watt University-Edinburgh, Scotland.Omar’s experience of over 25 years span, has extended to every aspect of the construction projects from the concept to detailing, to actual on-site supervision, and clients’ relationships on and off-site.Mr. Bin Eid worked on projects with some of the main government mass developer entities under different capacities; he served as CEO of the Design Bureau at the Executive Office of H.H. Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. Mr. Bin Eid also worked in Dubai Municipality as an Architect for over 5 years, then as the Head of the Architectural Unit for four more years where he was a member of the master planning team in the infamous Bastakiya Master Planning Project, a project that re-planned and revived one of the oldest and most traditional places in Dubai into one of the main tourist attractions in Dubai. Omar was assigned in Dubai Municipality as a team member of the Value Engineering Process, where he worked on the interior of the Zabeel Park, one of the largest public parks and tourist attractions in the city; and the largest Fruits and Vegetables market in Dubai. Aside from being a member of the Value Engineering Process Committee at the Dubai Municipality, Omar was also assigned to be an active member of the Project Committee.Omar worked on the Organizing Committee of the Dubai Shopping Festival in 1997 & 1998, the main and largest festival in the region. He was given a special assignment as an Engineer at the high-profile Ladies Club in Dubai, a super private female-only signature project under Dubai Municipality for the leading female figures in the country, then promoted to become the Head of Architecture in Dubai Municipality. The Executive Office H.H Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid Al- Maktoum, assigned Omar as the CEO of the Design Bureau, as he immediately supervised his highness tower project in Doha, Qatar, and in the Mirdiff City Master Planning project.
