Responsible for coordinating the placement of European ceded risks into Lloyd’s and global company markets for multi-national, multi-lined business such as Property, Power, Energy along with Specie and Cyber Liability.Currently a dedicated representative for the Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, where resources are pooled to achieve the best result globally for the Client.

Support a team of underwriters performing: technical pricing, work-up referrals for sign off, identifying key underwriting considerations and liaising with multiple internal departments in order to provide a detailed analysis for the underwriter. Analysis of risk management surveys in order to gain greater understanding of risks. Train other team members on the use of new and existing pricing systems.Role involves writing new business as well as managing my own portfolio of renewals. Developing broker relationships as well as increasing internal network in order to effectively underwrite accounts. Develop technical ability through the attendance of LBIA & CII lectures. Pipeline future new business opportunities for our sector specialisms which includes: ChemPharm, Utilities and Rail.

Responsible for providing comprehensive end to end administrative support to claims department. Junior claims handling of small IFA claims. Support the creation and maintenance of database for policies, proposal forms and schedules. Liaise with insurers and brokers in order to gather all the information required by solicitors in the litigation process. Training other team members on the use of new and existing systems as well as ensuring the integrity of the MI. Produce monthly accounting reports requested by finance as well as quarterly bordereaux updates requested by clients.

My role was to gain new business by identifying and developing opportunities in the local market, maintaining good working relationships with clients and underwriters. Increasing profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added value services wherever possible; Liaising with legal departments to keep updated on the government regulations. As well as offering great customer service through placing customers’ needs and wants to a product or service.
