The low voltage sub-teamdevelops the embedded software that handles the data acquisition system (DAQ) which wasdeveloped in-house by the team. The primary tasks and responsibilities during the season revolve around the development and monitoring of the car's data acquisition system (DAQ), designing safety circuits, and gaining in-depth knowledge of various technical aspects. The ultimate goal is to enhance safety, efficiency, and comfort in the automotive experience through electronic systems.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:- Develop embedded software for the car's data acquisition system (DAQ).- Monitor the car's performance by gathering information from the DAQ.- Provide essential information to the driver through the dashboard for critical decision-making while driving.- Design, manufacture, and test safety circuits capable of handling currents up to 100 Amps and potential differences up to 600 volts.- Gain in-depth knowledge of serial communication protocols.- Understand and work with real-time operating systems.- Achieve microcontroller independence in software development.- Learn and apply PCB design and manufacturing techniques.- Create QT GUI applications for enhanced user interfaces.- Dive deep into electronics to understand the underlying principles.- Apply hands-on skills to a real Formula-style car.
