A highly coordinated and fast paced effort needing a right balance approach that was satisfactory to all stakeholders. Managed a team of five developers to build out a robust data pipeline and UI for customers while also delivering Tableau dashboards to internal stakeholders.Engineering lead: Compensation-based benchmarking analytics across Workday customers. This was a full stack project divided between myself and three developers under my guidance to support extract of worker data from tenants. Refactored a Scala based microservice to load data into a single S3 bucket and ingest into Redshift. Salary market data made reportable back to individual tenants in the form of percentiles. Stepped outside my technical role to lead a cross team effort involving applications teams, frameworks teams, and legal teams to ensure the product was delivered on time in accordance with all regulations and laid the groundwork for machine learning on customer contributed data. Data-as-a-Service Development- Cloud platform metering framework. For each API call to a Workday rest endpoint, track it and report it back into the customers tenant as well as Workday for billing purposes. Services: AWS S3, AWS Redshift.- Performance Optimizations. Customers defined reports, such as worker information, often can be optimized by reordering the filters defined on the report. Utilized available logs in our internal data centers and exposed them in our production data centers in order to reorder report filters at runtime and deliver an optimized reporting experience by reducing CPU and memory usage as much as 40%.
