• Leading groups ranging from 5 to 20 individuals allowed me to develop excellent communication skills. Each presentation had to be tailored to the specific group, and it was common to constantly switch between English and French to make the experience more accessible to the audience. Adapting my vocabulary was essential, as the presentation could not be the same for a group of children as it would be for a group of diplomats. • Time management skills had to be continually refined. In fact, each tour had a time frame that needed to be respected to avoid overlaps with other tours. • Organized logistics such as transportation arrangements and accommodation bookings, ensuring smooth operations throughout each tour itinerary. • Being constantly surrounded by other parliamentary guides responsible for their own groups allowed me to further develop my teamwork abilities. • My tasks also included taking care of the daily schedule and making sure everyone was accomplishing their roles. • Managed unexpected challenges with flexibility and creative problem-solving, maintaining seamless experiences for guests. • Understanding the complex Canadian political system and being able to meet government officials on a regular basis.
