I recently completed the IoT application development summer training presented by SpimeSenseLab in collaboration with the Information Technology Institute (ITI). This training program was designed to provide practical experience in IoT applications, aligning closely with ITI's postgraduate diploma application evaluation and the demands of the IoT job market.Throughout the training, I had the opportunity to work hands-on with various IoT lab devices, gaining firsthand experience with diverse wireless technologies that play a central role in IoT applications. Some key devices I worked with included the Sense Sigfox Innovation Kit and the Minew BLE Gateway. These experiences not only helped me understand the technical aspects of IoT devices but also allowed me to explore how to integrate different IoT protocols and data communication methods effectively.The training enhanced my skills in configuring and deploying IoT solutions and gave me a solid foundation for more advanced IoT projects. This program has left me well-prepared and confident to meet the practical requirements of the ITI postgraduate diploma and the dynamic demands of the IoT industry.

I completed an Embedded System Diploma that offered an in-depth understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of embedded systems. This diploma covered a wide range of topics crucial to embedded systems engineering, including computer architecture, C and Embedded C programming, data structures, microcontroller architecture, interfacing, automotive bus technologies, RTOS, and software engineering and testing.Throughout the program, I gained extensive hands-on experience with microcontrollers like PIC and AVR, applying my programming skills to design, debug, and test embedded applications. I became proficient with industry-standard tools such as Eclipse IDE, MPLAB X IDE, and Proteus for circuit simulation and embedded software development, enabling me to build and troubleshoot embedded solutions effectively.I also developed strong practical skills in communication protocols, such as SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN/LIN. This experience equipped me with the ability to implement seamless device communication within embedded systems—a crucial skill for coordinating data transfer and functionality in complex, real-world applications.The diploma’s practical projects allowed me to strengthen my skills in both hardware design and software validation, providing a solid foundation in embedded systems engineering. This experience has significantly enhanced my readiness for real-world embedded systems projects and reinforced my commitment to specializing in embedded systems and microcontroller technologies.
